Geta are traditional footwear of Japan that resemble both clogs and flip-flops. They have an elevated wooden base held onto the foot with a piece of fabric. Geta are worn with traditional Japanese clothing such as kimono or yukata. They can also been work with Western clothing in the summer. Geta are also worn by Maiko (young Gesha). They are tall geta called okobo.
